Killeavy Castle Estate has been placed in the Irish Independent’s Best Places to Stay 2020.
Conducted by Pól Ó Conghaile, Nicola Brady and Thomas Breathnach, who travelled across Ireland visiting a host of hotels, B&Bs, country houses and campsites, mapped trends before curating their Fab 50 finalists. Pól Ó Conghaile praised Killeavy Castle Estate for its 45-bed hotel, restaurant and spa, on-site farm and sustainability efforts.
“The four-bed castle has been painstakingly restored, but that’s just the start – the £14m project also includes a new 45-bed hotel, restaurant and spa, with sleek generously sized rooms drawing on picture windows and sage, pumpkin, teal and lemon tones to blur the lines between inside and out.”
Speaking about the achievement, General Manager of Killeavy Castle Estate Jason Foody said “We are absolutely delighted to be placed within the Indo Fab 50 list for 2020. Killeavy Castle Estate opened in April 2019, a lot of hard work has taken place behind the scenes to bring guests the experience they can enjoy today. We are incredibly proud to have made the list in our first year of business and look forward to welcoming guests from across the Island of Ireland.”
