Killeavy Castle Estate has been named Hotel of the Year (Up to 75 rooms) for the second year running at this year’s LCN Awards 2023, cementing its place as one of Northern Ireland’s top hotel destinations.
The prestigious award, sponsored by Bibendum Wine is recognition of the work done by the whole team to make the Killeavy Castle Estate offering the best that Northern Ireland has to offer. With hundreds of entries received for the LCN Awards, finalists faced stiff competition from some of Northern Ireland’s most highly regarded hotels, however, Killeavy Castle Estate emerged victorious, taking the top award in the fiercely competitive category at the awards event which took place on 9 June.
Organised by Licensed & Catering News magazine which has been serving the Hospitality Industry in Northern Ireland since 1940, the LCN Awards reward excellence, help raise industry standards and reward hard work and entrepreneurial spirit.
Speaking about the win, Jason Foody, General Manager of Killeavy Castle Estate said:
“Winning this award for the second year in a row is a fantastic achievement for Killeavy Castle Estate and it is a testament to the passion and commitment of the whole team here at Killeavy Castle Estate to making this a top destination for guests.
“The feedback that we received from judges following a guest inspection of the hotel was phenomenal. We couldn’t be prouder of what we have achieved since opening in 2019, and we continue to focus on what we can do to set Killeavy Castle Estate apart from other hotels by providing an unparalleled guest experience in a unique and beautiful environment.”
The Hotel of the Year award is judged by a ‘mystery guest’ inspection at the venue, where the performance of each hotel finalist is measured against a strict set of criteria to identify the recipient of the title of Hotel of the Year.
The LCN Award for Hotel of the Year (Up to 75 rooms) is just one of a number of awards wins for Killeavy Castle Estate in 2023, which has also seen the estate recognised for its commitment to sustainability with the Sustainability Award at the FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards, as well as the Culinary Haven of the Year Special Award at the Good Food Ireland Awards and the Housekeeping Team of the Year (Under 50 rooms) at the Northern Ireland Hotels Federation (NIHF) Housekeeping Housekeeping Awards.
