1. Where are you from and a bit about your background?
My name is Brighdin Thornton, I live in Jonesborough in South Armagh, I studied Level 3 Childcare Extended Diploma at Southern Regional College for 3 years. I started working in Killeavy Castle Estate over 2 years ago, I really enjoy working there and with the staff members who work there.
2. What exactly does your position at Killeavy Castle Estate entail?
My position is a waitress, I really like being a waitress because I get to meet new guests every day and get to know them while accommodating and looking after the guests, my boss Vanessa is a really good manager, she treats all of her staff really well and everyone treats her with respect.
3. What do you enjoy the most about your job?
The thing I most enjoy about my job is the atmosphere while working in the Restaurant. It is always positive and happy and we always try to keep smiling no matter how busy we are. Everyone is like a big family in Killeavy and there is never a bad vibe when working with everyone.
4. What do you love most about Killeavy Castle Estate?
The thing I love most about Killeavy is that it has such beautiful grounds and it is such a nice place to work. The managers are really good to work for and they are not too hard on us. Any member of staff should feel privileged to work in Killeavy because it always has good positive vibes and the menu is always changing so we get to learn new foods that we have never seen or heard of before, which is a good experience to have.
5. What is an interesting fact about you?
I have 7 All-Ireland Medals that I have won from when I used to be in an accordion marching band!
