Killeavy Castle Estate are delighted to announce that we have recently partnered with Boster Community to help them create their very own fragrance product, proudly named ‘Gullion Oaks’.
Nestled in the heart of South Armagh at the edge of the beautiful Slieve Gullion, Killeavy Castle Estate is all about living life more slowly and in the present; cherishing those peaceful moments for when the distractions of the modern world finally ebb away and allowing you to get closer to the things that matter most. Whether that’s nature, history, loved ones or even just taking time for yourself, this secluded country estate provides all that you need to leave feeling rejuvenated.
The team at Killeavy Castle Estate felt that working alongside the Bolster Community to help produce their own scented product would further enhance the relaxing atmosphere they are already so well known for. Over the period of a year, a scent was uniquely designed to suit the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Killeavy Castle Estate as well as incorporate a little bit of nature. This was captured with the ‘Gullion Oaks’ scent, proudly named after the hotel’s beautiful surrounding scenery of Slieve Gullion, woodland and endless countryside.
At Killeavy Castle Estate, residents can purchase the Gullion Oak scented candles or diffusers to recreate the ambience they experienced, taking them back to a memorable time they once had upon the estate.
Gullion Oaks Fragrance is an aromatic vintage cologne note that leads into a heart of rich sweet vanilla, warm spices and a hint of cognac. Smokey woods of oak, ebony and incense combine with dark musk to complete this fragrance.
The story behind Bolster Community and the meaning of the candles was what made the collaboration so much more worthwhile for the team at Killeavy Castle Estate. On speaking about the partnership Michael Sheppard, Hotel Duty Manager said “We are very excited about our partnership with Bolster Community. They have provided us with a beautiful high-quality fragrance product ‘Gullion Oaks’ which we can sell exclusively. However, the amazing aspect of this product is what is done with the profits. As a result of this partnership, the Bolster Community reinvest the profits into support programmes to help vulnerable individuals and families throughout our community. It truly is a candle with cause and we can’t wait to share it with our guests”.
Each Acorn product is handmade in Northern Ireland by a gifted community of young adults with additional needs who play a huge part in the delivery of their fragrant candle projects. At Bolster Community, they help the candle makers reach their full potential, empowering them to work within a group to feel connected, valued and purposeful.
